PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) recycling

Veolia recycles PET bottles to preserve natural resources

Closed material cycles are the key to environmentally friendly and responsible use of plastics. In particular, the recycling of PET drinks bottles has distinguished itself as a shining example in recent years. 94% of all PET drinks bottles are now recycled, and the recovery rate is even close to 100%. In addition, there is a clear trend towards the use of recycled material: a PET bottle already consists of 30 to 50% recycled today.

CleanPET® is the brand name for a high-quality PET recyclate in the form of granulated flakes. This material recovered from PET bottles is, for example, suitable for the production of drinks bottles and films that come into direct contact with food, for example.
